Lord,

I pray for those who are facing doctor’s appointments full of fear, anxiety and uncertainty.

Let us remember your promises found in Deuteronomy 31:8- It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.

Thank you for going before us in ALL situations. Though we do not know what is ahead, you do and you will see us to the other side. No matter what may come out of these doctor visits, help us to lean into the promise that you are before us.

Help us to remember that you are intimately close to us during doctors’ appointments. Though the devil lies to us and tries to make us believe that you have abandon us, help your spirit to be loud; help us to drown out the lies and remember your promise to be beside us. I pray that we feel your presence during the visits. I’m thankful that you are a God who cares and is near, especially those who feel brokenhearted.

Help us to surrender our dismay, fear, anxiety and doubt. We lay them at your feet. We carry these heavy burdens for no reason. Help us to surrender these burdens and take up your lighter load that leads to life.

I rest in the fact that you hear my cries for help and for strength as I face these scary doctors’ appointments. May I rest in your love and security.
